My name is Matt Elder. Since 2006, I've been in grad school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working towards my PhD in computer science.
I also maintain a personal academic site and my online brain. I also keep the obligatory this-is-who-I-am page and some pictures in the Posse gallery. Various other things live here; perhaps you'll find something shiny.
Code
B-ZAR: A very silly programming language in two dimensions.
FiddleType: It runs this webpage.
Circle Toy: An analog lite-brite.
Requires Mouse: Click things; make them go away. Actually quite challenging.
Shell Scripts: Tiny, homebrewed hacks, lovingly aged. Go well with cheese.
Games
Nerd: A board game of squares.
Tweens: A tough game of solitaire.
Span: A strategy game for two players, graph paper, and just one pen.
Deliver the Disc: Ultimate Frisbee meets Capture the Flag. Hilarity ensues.
Other, Random
For Future Reference: Lessons learned, and cached essay-ish things.
Notes: Found things, links, and random ideas. Almost a blog.
Quotes: Wish I'd said it first.
